This movie is actually playing a big part in the activities over at Disney’s California Adventure theme park as well!  On weekend nights, they are producing a ‘family’ rave/dance party called ElecTRONica.  There’s also a big highlight as part of the finale of The World of Color show at closing time.  Yes, I lived through the original and my inner geek is screaming.  LOL.  Can’t wait…

MGM is apparently developing a musical based on the 1983 film Valley Girl.  Ha! I grew up in Maryland and the whole ‘Valley’ thing really didn’t have any relevance to me except from the Frank Zappa song.  Meanwhile — Nicolas Cage WAS kinda hot … 27 years ago. He did, however, have the weirdest grooming of his treasure trail (sorry, you’re going to have to rent it.  I couldn’t find pics. LOL).  ANYWAY - just in case you wanted to know — the mall food court scenes were filmed in the mall that I work at.  I’m sure it was cuter 27 years ago too. ;-)
